The GPX 5.5 Composite helmet offers world-class protection with 360 ̊ Turbine Technology. Turbines made of 3D molded energy absorbing material, are set inside the helmet. This technology has two main advantages, namely reducing rotational acceleration to the head and brain and the absorption of energy upon impact at concussion level.
It also has a smaller outer shell volume, which assists in reducing rotational acceleration of the head and brain, proving that a smaller helmet shell is better. Our multi-density, V-shaped impact foam is molded directly to the outer shell, enabling us to reduce the outer shell size and still achieve the highest level of impact protection. This unbeatable combination makes all Leatt riders winners.
The helmet also provides ample ventilation, another feature most of us cannot get enough of and, most importantly, these vents work even at very low speeds.
Specifically designed to protect younger riders, the GPX 5.5 Composite Junior helmet boasts the same technology that makes the adult helmets so effective. Lined with turbines made out of 3D molded Armourgel®, which is soft and flexible to the touch but instantly hardens upon impact, the helmet works even better the faster or harder you fall as these turbines act as an energy absorber during a crash.
The helmet’s 360 ̊ Turbine Technology reduces up to 30% of head impact at concussion level and up to 40% of rotational acceleration to the brain. Other safety features include the 3D in-molded V-foam and a 10% smaller shell size, transferring up to 20% less rotational forces to the neck, head and brain, as well as the breakaway visor that reduces rotational reduction in a crash. For additional convenience, the helmet is neck brace compatible, hydration ready, and has removable cheek pads for emergency situations. As a bonus, it is nice and comfortable with a ton of ventilation.
